American Data Technology, Inc

Why American Data Technology, Inc?

ADTI is a privately-held 15 year old web hosting company that has stood the test of time and built strong customer loyalty due to our commitment to surpassing customers' expectations. Our key differentiator is that we are dedicated to providing optimal reliability and uptime for our clients' websites, along with responsive and timely support by our knowledgeable and trained support team.
That has been providing web hosting since 1995. We offer the following advantages over our competitors:

1) Experience:

You as a client benefit from our proven track record of 17 years expertise as a web hosting services provider. The company's founder Mike Salim is a true pioneer of internet development. As an active team member of National Science Foundation Project (1989-1993) he made significant contribution to development of internet backbone. This benefits our clients greatly as the company is built on solid technical expertise.

2) Support:

ADTI has a toll free number for 24/7/365 tech support. All support personnel are US-based. ADTI does not subcontract its support to offshore third parties. Furthermore, unlike many of our competitors, our virtual hosting customers can also access toll free phone support.

3) Reliability:

We have 99.999% network uptime SLA's and 99.99% on infrastructure.

4) Stringent Security Standards:

Your data is kept safe through our rigorous monitoring (every 2.5 minutes from three geographically dispersed locations), as well as physical security (on site armed security guards and surveillance). Furthermore, we deploy "Defense in Depth" Protocol to server and network security-layers of security are applied to eliminate a single point of failure.

5) SAS 70 Type II Data Centers:

We have multiple data centers space for maximum redundancy. Each of the data centers is SAS 70 Type II certified. This ensures that HIPAA and Sarbanes -Oxley requirements for control and security are met. The data centers are located in Research Triangle Park, NC - commonly known as technical hub of America. Data centers require biometric access and have environmentally controlled racks, backup power, on-site security personnel and 24/7 surveillance.

6) Top-notch Network Traffic:

All servers are connected to our core switches via 100mb Ethernet connections and Gigabit Ethernet is also available.

7) Load -Balancing and Fail-over:

This balances the load among different carriers and enables the load to be switched seamlessly and instantly. If your network experiences a backlog or if one provider's network goes down, your web traffic can be re-routed so you don't experience any lost sales. Furthermore, if one server fails then other server automatically takes its place.

8) Premium Technology:

We support a wide range of technologies such as: Perl. CGI, Java Servlets, mySQL, JSP, MS SQL Server, ColdFusion MX etc. Our vast assortment of hosting solutions such as Dedicated, Ecommerce, Managed, Exchange, Colocation, SharePoint makes us one stop-shop for all your hosting needs.

9) Certifications:

We are one of the few hosting companies that are PCI Compliant and VISA CISP Compliant. We have many other certifications such as certified vendor for federal agencies by SBA, certified vendor for hosting and email services for schools and libraries (e-rate), CISSP certified, Blackberry Alliance Member with Research in Motion (RIMM). Additionally. We have earned A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.

10) Government mandated guidelines:

12) True Web Host:

We are not a reseller of another hosting provider. This means that should there be an issue with your website our engineers can start working on it within seconds and not have to rely on a third party for access to the equipment. Our customers come in all sizes from small start ups, to mid size businesses to large federal agencies. Our client base spans many industries such as Medical, Healthcare, Legal, Education, and Insurance to name a few.

Our onsite diesel-powered generators are ready and waiting to protect your applications at the first sign of a power interruption. Our 750 kW-2000 kW diesel generators can run for 24 hours on a single tank of fuel. In the event of power disruption, the ATS immediately powers the generator and within seven seconds transfers power to the UPS for continuous charging.

Uninteruptable Power Supplies

  • Feeds two 600 amp panels that in turn feed 100 amp panels located at the head of every row of cabinets.
  • Twin 500 KVA Powerware UPS systems (both of which are hot-synced).
  • Filters the power feed, compensating for surges, high-voltage spikes, switching transients, sags, electrical line noise, frequency variations and other conditions that prevents the proper operation of your equipment.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), the first line of defense during a power interruption, help protect all your mission-critical applications. The UPS provides 110V/208V AC power to every customer cabinet. The UPSs receive power from multiple power grids to ensure fail-over. The UPS powers the IDC facility in the transition to generated power.

Automatic Transfer Switch

  • After prolonged power outage, the ATS automatically switches the Data Network Facility back to city power.
  • 120V AC or 48V DC.
  • When a power interruption occurs, and chances are it will, the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) automatically switches the power from the primary source to an alternate supply. In the event of an emergency, the ATS immediately powers the generator and within seven seconds transfers power to the UPS for continuous charging.

DC Power:

  • Two rectifiers convert ACpower to DC power, offering you the most usable power possible based on your requirements.

600 amp Panel:

  • Receives power directly from the UPS.
  • Feeds 100 amp panels.

  • One panel located at the head of each cabinet row.
  • Receives power from the 600 amp panel.

By offering multiple power grid connections, American Data Technology Inc. ensures a state-of-the-art system is in place to offer you the greatest power.
Currently, ADTI provides uninterrupted AC and DC circuits to your equipment cabinets. Future IDC facilities will offer A/B circuits in both AC and DC power.

Fire Dectection/Prevention System

  • Two rectifiers convert ACpower to DC power, offering you the most usable power possible based on your requirements.
  • Utilizes a pre-action fire suppression system that holds water outside of the equipment area until actual fire is verified.
  • "Dry-pipe" systems ensure that if a sprinkler head is accidentally damaged, water will not drain into the equipment area, thus damaging equipment.
  • Heat and smoke sensors (controlled by the NOC) are located in the floor and ceiling.
  • Fire conditions are detected in all equipment room spaces.
  • Fire suppression system can be activated only when multiple inputs confirm the existence of a fire on the premises.

ADTI's redundant, state-of-the-art fire detection and suppression systems help recognize and minimize the ever-present threat of fire, guaranteeing the protection of your equipment.
VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus) detects abnormal air particulates potentially caused by equipment overheating, giving our staff time to investigate the situation before it becomes a potential problem.
